| The purpose of this article is to provide references for understanding the mixed states in bipolar disorder and carrying out follow-up research. The article was to review the profile of mixed states concerning historical development， current diagnostic criteria， epidemiology， underlying pathophysiological mechanisms， modelling， and psychotropic treatment guidelines. Also， this review could provide specific knowledge for understanding mixed states in bipolar disorder and further studies. |
