Objective
To understand the personality characteristics and family environment characteristics of undergraduate medical students taking psychology as well as their correlations.
Methods A cross-sectional epidemiological survey was conducted in June 2017,80 undergraduate medical students taking psychology courses as the research objects, a total of 67 students actually completed a valid questionnaire surve. The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Test (MMPI) and family environment The Chinese version of the scale (FES-CV) was were used to investigate.Pearson correlation analysis was performed between the original scores of each factor of MMPI and the scores of each factor of FES-CV.
Results MMPI results of elective psychology undergraduates showed that the scores of Hypochondria (HS), Depression (D), Hysteria (HY), Psychopathy (PD), Masculine-feminization (MF), Paranoia (PA), Mental weakness (PT) and Schizophrenia (SC) were higher than the National norm, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05or0.01).
FES-CV results showed that the scores of Cohesion,Achievement OrientationandIntellectutual-Cultural Orientation Organization were lower than the National norm, while the Conflict were higher, with statistical significance (P<0.05).
Correlation analysis showed that Cohesion was negatively correlated with Correction (K), Hypochondria (Hs), Depression (D), Hysteria (Hy)(r=-0.410~-0.331,P< 0.01);The
.Conflict was positively correlated with Hypochondria (Hs), Hysteria (Hy)(r=0.315~0.415,P< 0.01);and Active-Recreational Orientation was negatively correlated with Hypochondria (Hs) (r=-0.367,P<0.01), while positively correlated with Schizophrenia (SC) (r=0.346,P<0.01).The Control was positively correlated with Hysteria (Hy) (r=0.366,P<0.01). |
