Objective Form a mate preference questionnaire for military academy graduate students with good reliability and validity. Methods In December 2020, full-time master's degree students of a military academy were randomly selected as research objects. the mate preference entries were collected by means of an open questionnaire, and after screening and expert consultation, the entries were sorted out to form an initial questionnaire. And randomly selected 89 master's degree students of a military academy were tested. Questionnaires were tested using project analysis and exploratory factor analysis. And Pearson correlation analysis, Cronbach's α coefficients and half-reliability were used to test questionnaire reliability validity. Results A questionnaire of mate preference for postgraduates in military academies with 4 factors (intrinsic quality, personal ability, external conditions, and quality of life) and 25 entries was formed. The correlation coefficient between the total score and the 4 factors of the questionnaire on the mate preferences of postgraduates in military academies was 0.739~0.864, and Cronbach's α coefficient of the questionnaire total score and the socre of each factor was 0.723~0.926, half-confidence was 0.682~0.899. Conclusion The questionnaire on the mate preferences of postgraduates in military academies has good credibility and validity, and can be used as a tool to collect psychological marriage-and-love data on the mate preference of postgraduates in military academies. |
