Objective To explore the effect of “online + offline” psychological intervention on anxiety and depression among the isolated personnel during the COVID-19 outbreak, so as to provide references for the formulation of psychological intervention programs during the epidemic of major infectious diseases. Methods A total of 24 people under isolation and clinical observation in the designated isolation hospital of Mianyang city from February 4 to 29, 2020 were enrolled in the study. All selected subjects received “online + offline” psychological intervention for 2 weeks. The anxiety and depression symptoms of the isolated personnel were assessed using Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) and Hamilton Depression Scale-24 item (HAMD-24) at the baseline and the 2nd and 4th week of the intervention. Results Compared with baseline data, there was a decrease in HAMD-24 and HAMA scores at the 2nd and 4th week of the intervention (P<0.01).Conclusion The application of “online + offline” psychological intervention can effectively alleviate the anxiety and depression status of isolated people during the COVID-19 outbreak. |
