【Abstract】Background In recent years, health problems related to alcohol dependence have attracted much attention. Alcohol dependence will not only affect individual behavior control ability, but also bring adverse effects to families and society. Objective To analyze the relationship between neurocognitive function and personality characteristics of male alcohol-dependent patients with aggressive behavior, in order to provide a reference for improving the neurocognitive function of male alcohol dependent patients with aggressive behavior. Methods Male patients with alcohol dependence admitted to Hunan Brain Hospital from March 2020 to March 2022 were selected as the research objects. According to 1: 1, 80 patients with alcohol dependence with aggressive behavior (with aggressive behavior group) and 80 patients with alcohol dependence without aggressive behavior (without aggressive behavior group) were selected. Eysenck Personality Questionnaire Short Scale Chinese Version (EPQ-RSC) and Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS) were used to evaluate the personality characteristics and neurocognitive function of the two groups. Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between EPQ and RBANS scores in patients with alcohol dependence with aggressive behavior. Results The scores of each dimension of RBANS in the aggressive behavior group were lower than those in the non-aggressive behavior group (t=2.176, 2.580, 2.076, 2.308, 2.193, P<0.05). The scores of each dimension of EPQ-RSC in the aggressive behavior group were higher than those in the non-aggressive behavior group (t=4.497, 5.242, 6.459, P<0.01). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the scores of introversion and extroversion, neuroticism and psychoticism in EPQ-RSC of alcohol dependent patients with aggressive behavior were positively correlated with the scores of immediate memory, visual space, language ability, attention ability and delayed memory in RBANS scale (r=0.312, 0.435, 0.390, 0.482, 0.294, 0.511, 0.442, 0.401, 0.362, 0.386, 0.475, 0.265, 0.341, 0.451, 0.380, P<0.05). Conclusion There is a certain correlation between neurocognitive function and personality characteristics in alcohol-dependent patients with aggressive behavior. |
