1. Reviewers and Editors Responsibility: Reviewers and editors should follow the following standards in their work:
1) Reviewers and editors must process manuscripts fairly and impartially. The selection criteria should be only based on quality, innovation, scientificity, practicality, and the requirement of the publishing scope.
2) Reviewers and editors should keep confidential of the manuscript content, author information and review comment.
3) Reviewers and editors should respect the research achievements of authors and should not disclose or use data of unpublished articles without authorization.
4) If any academic misconduct is found in the manuscript, reviewers and editors shall handle the case impartially.
5) If there is a conflict of interest, reviewers and editors should report it to the editorial office of editorial board and avoiding handling the manuscript.
2. Authors Responsibility:
1) Authors should guarantee that there is no multiple submission, no confidentiality problem and no dispute of authorship.
2) The author must be responsible for the authenticity and scientificity of the article and its attachments. Falsification is strictly prohibited.
3) The author must keep the original data of the study for review and investigation.
4) The author must double-check the figures, tables and data in the article, and make sure that the data is always completely consistent throughout the article.
5) The author should refer to the “Author Instruction” before submitting and comply with the requirements.
6) The author must ensure that all the contents of the article, including abstract, figure, table, etc., have not been published yet.
3. Plagiarism Detection: This journal only accepts original articles that have not been submitted to other journals nor have been published, and the manuscripts submitted shall not contain any plagiarized content. In order to promote the quality control of the journal and to prevent academic misconduct, all manuscript submitted to this journal must go through the plagiarism detection. The repetition rate should be less than 15% or the manuscript will be rejected. We recommend that all authors take a plagiarism pre-test before submitting. The pre-test could be taken via the following link (http://scjsws.wanfangtech.net), which is developed by Wanfang Data. The test result is only for the author's reference and the final decision shall be subject to the official test conducted by the journal. The Wanfang Data Plagiarism test is a third-party test. 4. Misconduct Handling: Multiple submission, redundant publishing, plagiarism, data falsification and citation manipulation is strictly prohibited. Should any academic misconduct be verified, the journal will make an announcement and will immediately reject the manuscript and all submission from the first authors within 2 years.
5. Authorship: Those who are named as authors should directly participate in the research work, writing the manuscript or has an important guiding role (such as a graduate tutor). Other contributors of the paper (e.g., laboratory assistant) may be listed in acknowledgement. If there is any non-Chinese citizen among authors, a letter of consent for publishing should be obtained. “Gift author” is strictly prohibited. The order shall be determined before submission and shall not be changed thereafter. If truly necessary, the order could be changed if a consent letter signed by all authors is provided. The authors should specify their contribution in the Authors Contribution Form and submit it along with the manuscript.
6. Medical Ethics: The ethical issue and informed consent of the study must comply with common principles of medical ethics. When research participants are humans, the author should explain whether its procedure comply with the ethical standards formulated by relevant committee responsible for human trials. The approval document of the committee should be submitted. Consent letter from research participants or their relatives must be obtained, but not submitted to the editorial office. When reporting animal experiments, the study should comply with guidelines published by relevant committee on animal rights, and the approval document should be submitted.
7. Trial Registration: Clinical trials must include the Universal Trial Number (UTN) obtained from one of the Primary Registries in the WHO Registry Network. If applicable, the authors should specify the registering institution and the UTN within the article.
8. Conflict of Interest: All authors must disclose all potential conflicts of interest, i.e., when the financing/personal status/affiliation of the authors (or the authors' organization/employer) may affect the authors' decision, work or manuscript. When a product is mentioned, the author should also disclose whether there is a conflict of interest against competitive products. The authors should also fill and sign the Statement of Competing Interest and submit it along with the manuscript.
9. Intellectual Property and Open Science: The editorial office strives to respect the protection of intellectual property and requires editors, authors and reviewers to do so. Any potential infringement should be avoided. Third-party infringement to the intellectual property of the journal is prohibited. On the premise of intellectual property protection, the journal encourages the practice of open science. Authors are encouraged to publish or share their research data whenever appropriate. The data for sharing may include original data, observation records, experimental results, etc. The journal also encourages the sharing of software, code, models, algorithms, protocols, methods and other useful materials. Authors can upload the materials above to an accessible third-party repository and make a proper citation or add a link at the end of the article.
10. Advertising Policy: Advertisements published in the journals must comply with the Advertising Law of The People’s Republic of China and relevant provisions. The advertising content shall be true and legal, without false content, absolute words or other exclusive language. If there is any unreliable content, the journal has right to delete or refuse to publish it. All advertising will be discussed and collectively decided by the editorial office at our meetings. The commercial content will be completely separated from academic content. Advertising will not affect the editors' decision to accept manuscripts. In case of potential conflicts of interest, authors, editors and reviewers will disclose the information in accordance with guidelines of COPE and relevant international standards.
