Objective Assessing the incidence rate of self - injury in Tuition - free Normal college students ; Investigating the features of taking coping styles in students and the correlation between self injury and coping styles. Methods Using self - injury questionnaire and coping style questionnaire to investigate 470 Tuition - free Normal college students in Hunan First Normal University, Compared with students in the same age but from Sichuan and Chongqing . Results 443 students have finished the questionnaire ef- fectively and 75.17% reported they had self- injury, which was lower than Sichuan(81.1% ) and Chongqing(76.3% ). Compared with the non - self injury group , the self - injury group got higher scores in the factor of self - accusation, retreat , fantasy and rational- ization , while got lower scores in problem solving and assistance seeking (P 〈 0. 05, P 〈 0.01 ). One - factor analysis of variance found that self - injury was related to negative coping styles. Conclusion the incidence rate of self - injury in Tuition - free Normal college students is lower than normal and students who have conducted self - injury always taking negative coping styles. |
