| Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of lithium carbonate combined with quetiapine and clozapine in the treat- ment of mania in women. Methods 64 female mania disorder patients were randomly divided into two groups. They took quetiapine or clozapine combined with lithium carbonate for both 6 weeks treatment. The BRMS were adopted to test the clinical efficacy while the TESS and lab tests were administered to evaluate side effects. Results There were no significant difference in the clinical efficacy （P 〉 0.05 ）, while significantly differences in anticholinergie effect,weight gain between two groups （ P 〈 0.05 ）. Conclusion The results indicate the clinical effectiveness of the two drug groups were similar, while different in side effects. Lithium carbonate combined with quetiapine to maybe more suitable for mania disorder in women |
