      Objective To investigate the level of mental health and attribution style and their relationship of rural women left behind,and expect to get some useful implications for mental health coping practice of the women left behind.Methods Sample of 220 women who lived in the area of Sichuan province village in China was finished the self-rating scale of SCL-90 and attribution style questionnaire.Results The level of mental health of women left behind was significantly lower than national norm(P〈0.001);There was a significant difference of mental health between different education background of women left behind(F=8.080,P〈0.01),it was also found that the difference of attribution style in different age of the women left behind was also significant(F=4.230,P〈0.01;F=3.524,P〈0.01);The relationship between mental health and attribution style was significant.Conclusion Attribution style is a key factor to mental health of the women left behind
