The purpose of this article is to report the whole process of diagnosis and treatment of a patient with borderline personality disorder accompanied by conversion symptoms. The client is a 46-year-old woman, with a long-term inability to establish close relationships with others, often feels emptiness and loneliness. In response to upsetting stimuli, she is prone to sweating, dizziness, feeling flustered, chest tightness, breathing difficulties and other symptoms. After this consultation, the client was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder with conversion symptoms. A biological-psychological-social intervention model was recommended. She has been encouraged to exercise regularly and use β receptor blockaders to improve conversion symptoms. Dialectical behavior therapy is recommended for psychotherapy. In terms of social resources, the client was encouraged to help herself before helping others, and the direction of work is positioned in the general mental health care of the public. |
