      The purpose of this study is to compare the differences and similarities between the International Classification of Diseases, eleventh edition (ICD-11) and Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, fifth edition (DSM-5) in the diagnosis of anxiety disorders. Anxiety disorders are characterized by excessive fear and worry and associated behavioral dysfunction. This article will discuss the key criteria in the anxiety disorders diagnosis, so as to improve clinical workers' understanding of the corresponding sections in two diagnostic manuals.
