Objective To investigate the anxiety status and its influencing factors of nurses during the outbreak of COVID-19, and to provide reference for psychological support. Methods From January 29, 2020 to February 5, 2020, 2 104 nurses were enrolled by convenience sampling, and were surveyed through electronic questionnaires. General information of nurses was collected using a self-designed questionnaire, and anxiety symptoms were assessed using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7).Results GAD-7 scale showed that 1 186 (56.4%) subjects had no anxiety symptoms, while anxiety symptoms were mild in 665 cases (31.6%), moderate in 149 cases (7.1%), and severe in 104 cases (4.9%). GAD-7 scores among nurses with different marital status, working years, working places (whether in Hubei or not), wards (isolation ward or general ward) and psychological adjustment (presence or absence) had significant difference (P<0.01). Linear regression analysis indicated that marital status (β=0.597, 95% CI: 0.156~1.038, P<0.01), working places (whether in Hubei or not) (β=3.119, 95% CI: 1.967~4.272, P<0.05), and psychological adjustment (β=0.508, 95% CI: 0.083~0.934, P<0.05) were influencing factors of GAD-7 score. Conclusion Nurses have various degrees of anxiety during the outbreak of COVID-19, and the susceptible individuals include those who are married, work in epidemic area and have psychological adjustment. |
