【】 Background: Depressive disorder is a common disorder among adolescent mental health problems, which seriously affects the physical and mental health and quality of life of adolescents. And suicide as one of the important hazards of depressive disorders, suicide among adolescent patients has become a serious public health problem. Some studies have shown that adolescent sleep quality is associated with negative mood and suicide, but research on sleep disorders and suicide risk in adolescents with depressive disorders is relatively limited. Objective To explore the correlation between sleep disorders and suicide risk in adolescent patients with depressive disorders. Methods101 adolescent patients with depressive disorders who were hospitalized at the Fourth People"s Hospital in Hefei from June 2020 to February 2023 were selected for the study. Self-made questionnaires were used to collect the general information of adolescent patients, and the suicide risk was assessed by The Nurses" Global Assessment of Suicide Risk (NGASR) scale, and the sleep status was assessed by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. (PSQI) sleep scale was used to assess sleep status. The factors influencing high suicide risk in patients with depressive disorders were analyzed to analyze the correlation between sleep disorders and high suicide risk. Results After assessment by NGASR scale, there were 35 patients with high suicidal risk and 66 patients with low suicidal risk, and the incidence of high suicidal risk was 33.67%. The mean PSQI score of patients with high suicide risk was 9.39±3.76, and the mean PSQI score of the low suicide risk group was 7.38±2.17. The PSQI score of the high suicide risk group was significantly higher than that of the low suicide risk group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), and the results of Pearson correlation analysis found that the PSQI score showed a significant positive correlation with suicide risk (r= 0.698, P<0.05). The analysis of factors influencing the presence of high suicide risk in adolescents with depressive disorders revealed that high academic stress and sleep disorders were risk factors for high suicide risk (all with OR>1, P<0.05), while better relationship with peers and better family relationship were protective factors (all with OR<1, P<0.05). Conclusions The higher incidence of suicide risk in adolescents with depressive disorders is an important risk factor for the presence of high suicide risk, in addition to higher academic stress as a risk factor and better relationship with classmates and family as a protective factor, sleep disorder is also an important risk factor. On the basis of active treatment for depressed adolescents with depressive disorders, special attention should be paid to their sleep status and timely interventions should be made to reduce the incidence of high suicidal risk.
