The case reported a patient with schizophrenia who experienced a self-perceived feeling of unpleasant heat after taking atypical antipsychotic drugs of olanzapine, risperidone, and paliperidone. The feeling of unpleasant heat disappeared after prescribing aripiprazole prescribed to him.The purpose of this case report is to suggest that for adverse reactions caused by atypical antipsychotics, psychiatrists should consider the drug mechanism, pathophysiology of patients, and individual differences to improve treatment compliance and prognosis of patients. |
